JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The project will involve developing and implementing a 5,000 seat Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) service capability. Development of this solution and migration of their existing standard desktops will be performed onsite in Alexandria, VA. The solution will include development, implementation, and support of a VMware vSphere and VMware View based desktop infrastructure hosted on Cisco UCS blades. The project will encompass the building of the hosting infrastructure within the Datacenter, testing and validation of design, user data migration, and government acceptance testing. Experience in Network Management/Applications (eg., Infovista, CA eHealth, CA Spectrum, HPOV Suite, IBM Netcool, Cisco ANA) is desirable. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Basic understanding of Networking Technologies

Knowledge of TCP/IP Networking and SNMP based network management and/or CCNA/CCNP certification is desirable.

VAE, Inc. is currently looking for a Junior IDS Analyst to work on a federal government contract located in Arlington, VA. Minimum skill sets required for Tier1 (junior) IDS analyst: 1. Fundamental knowledge, understanding and hands-on experience using the Linux Operating System. Experience using Red Hat is a plus. 2. Fundamental knowledge and understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching. Hands-on experience using tcpdump or wireshark is a plus. 3. Hands-on experience performing traffic analysis, intrusion analysis and detection. Possess the ability to recognize publicly known attack traffic patterns. Hands-on experience with IDS tools. 4. Fundamental knowledge and understanding of Security Information Management (SIM) solutions. Hands-on experience using ArcSight is a plus.
